RN, BSN, Nurse Legal Assistant

A native of New Orleans, Ms. Morgan earned her BSN from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Nursing in 1980.  Ms. Morgan was listed in the 1980 edition of Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.  As a student nurse, Ms. Morgan assisted the American Red Cross in the development of a home-based nursing study program designed for caregivers and families and served as a volunteer instructor.  Ms. Morgan also developed a patient teaching tool for chemotherapy patients which was instituted by Ochsner Hospital.  Ms. Morgan has more than 20 years of nursing experience including direct patient care, hospital management and instructor/preceptor for Neurosurgery/Neurology and Medicine Unit as well as critical care with an emphasis on Neurosurgery and Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery.  Ms. Morgan also has extensive experience in home health management, including Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance, Risk Management and Infection Control.  Ms. Morgan was instrumental in developing, managing and operating a hospital-based Home Health Department.

Ms. Morgan began her medical legal career as a nurse paralegal in 1998 and provides assistance in all civil litigation matters with a focus on medical malpractice, personal injury and products liability.  Ms. Morgan has extensive experience with preparation of medical record summaries and Medical Review Panel submissions.  Ms. Morgan also has extensive experience with assisting with all aspects of trial preparation and trial.
