Mr. Kaufman earned his Juris Doctor, with Honors, May, 2009, from Emory University School of Law.  He attended law school on the Emory Law Scholarship.  At Emory, he placed on the Dean’s List for four semesters, received the Dean’s Award in Business Associations, and graduated in the top 18% of his class.   He received his BSM from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 2006.

Mr. Kaufman focuses his practice on health care litigation, including medical malpractice defense, negligence litigation, informed consent, hospitals and hospital systems, Medical Staff Peer Review issues, medical licensing issues, hospital privileging issues, and commercial litigation.  He also has experience in employment and maritime law.  Mr. Kaufman is experienced in all aspects of litigation including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, trial work, and appellate practice.

Mr. Kaufman is admitted to practice before all Louisiana State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is a member of the American, Louisiana, and New Orleans Bar Associations.
